To show its support of the local community, the new location will be hosting a Give Back event on Monday, October 5, in which a portion of the day's sales will benefit Harry S Truman High School. The restaurant will be the newest addition to The Mall at Bay Plaza and the first in the area to feature a new "Modern Australia" design both inside and out.
To mark the official grand opening, the restaurant is inviting local area residents to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Bronx Chamber of Commerce at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28.

For a limited time, the Bronx Outback is offering mouthwatering steak paired with unlimited Garlic Herb Butter Shrimp or Crispy Shrimp with new Volcano Dipping Sauce starting at just $15.99. Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies Bob Bond and Rob Cunninghan spend a lot of time together. 'You're looking at over 50 years of law enforcement between the 2 of us,' said Bond. 'We've been to thousands of calls together.'
Saturday was no different. They worked a 12-hour shift and said it was relatively uneventful, until they went to Outback Steakhouse, in North Spokane, after work for dinner. 'I told my buddy Rob over there,' remembers Bond, 'there's a guy over there with a knife that looks like he's having some serious problems. Rob talked him down and I grabbed him. It could've ended seriously bad, we had no idea what he was doing.'
Many of the diners they kept safe thought these deputies actions were extraordinary. 'There were several people pretty happy we were there,' they said, but for these two off-duty deputies, this wasn't too out of the ordinary.
'It wasn't a big deal,' said Cunningham.
'Everyone I know, that I work with, in any uniform, state, city, county, they'd all do it, said Bond.
What you don’t know about your suppliers, your supplier’s practices and your overall supply chain is bound to catch up with you – even if you choose to ignore it.
A recent study, conducted by 6 public health, consumer and environmental groups including the NRDC and Consumers Union, illustrates why such diligence matters.
Many fast food and fast casual restaurant chains have made pledges in recent years to end antibiotic use in meat and chicken. Yet according to the study, most of the meat used by these chains comes from animals that are “routinely fed antibiotics.”
The study specifically looked at 25 of the largest fast food and “fast casual” restaurants in the US and graded them on how well they stuck to their commitments regarding antibiotics and transparency in their supply chains. The study revealed only 5 of these companies passed the test (meaning they received a grade of “C” or above): Chipotle, Panera, Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s and Dunkin Donuts. Panera and Chipotle received the only 2 “A” grades.
Twenty restaurants received a score of “F” in the report. These include: Applebee’s, Arby’s, Burger King, Chili’s, Dairy Queen, Denny’s, Domino’s, IHOP, Jack in the Box, KFC, Little Caesars, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse Grill and Bar, Papa John’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Sonic, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell and Wendy’s.

Dinner At Outback Steakhouse
We are having dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We haven’t been here for a while, but we always order a Bloomin’ Onion, salads, and a steak. I used to order the Boomerang Shrimp until they stopped selling it. What We Ate: * A complimentary loaf of Honey Wheat Bread is served with butter on the side when you have been seated. * Bloomin’ Onion: “A true Outback original. Our special onion is hand-carved by a dedicated bloomologist, cooked until golden and ready to dip into our spicy signature bloom sauce.” $7.99 * House Salad: Chopped Romaine & Iceburg Lettuce, Fresh Grated Colby Jack Cheese, Chopped Cucumber, Thinly Sliced Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes, Outback Garlic Croutons and your choice of dressing (I chose Thousand Island and Kevin chose Honey Mustard.) *Salads are included in the price of each meal. * Kevin ordered the 10 ounce Ribeye & baked potato: “The steak lover's steak is well-marbled, juicy and savory.” $18.99 * Tami ordered the 6 ounce Outback Sirloin & Aussie Fries: “Each steak is then expertly seasoned and seared to order over a red-hot grill.” $11.99 * Kevin ordered 1 soft drink and it was $2.79. Tami drank water and it was free ;) Our total was $44.27 (before tip) Eating Puccini's Vlog 4/24/15 - 4/28/15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbmiP_uADvs
